Over the next week, Jupiter moves into Aries, the Sun moves into Capricorn, and the New Moon and Winter Solstice take us through the darkest days of the year. What awaits on the other side of these transits is something new. . , some brave, some move us forward to the next chapter of life.

Jupiter enters Aries

On December 20, 2022, Jupiter will move into the fiery and independent sign of Aries, where it will remain until next May.

The planet of luck, expansion, growth and happiness, Jupiter is the largest body outside the Sun in our solar system. This expansion corresponds to the kind of growth that constantly invites us to experience as it travels through the zodiac.

Aries, as the first of the zodiac, is the passion that sparks ideas and then sets every step in motion. It is inspiration, initiative, and determination.

In Aries, Jupiter will bring expansion of our personal courage, enhancement of our leadership skills, and renewal of our motivation and life. Consider this time through a process of luck and fortune.

Jupiter spent May to October 2022 in Aries before it went retrograde through Pisces. Allow yourself to explore the themes that present themselves in your life at this time, especially anything related to novel ideas, initiatives, or new chapters. How did you grow or change during this time? Did you find it interesting? Is there a desire? What, if anything, did you start during those months?

As Jupiter returns to Aries this December, we’re presented with another opportunity to gravitate toward whatever direction is calling our name. For the next 5 months, our acts of courage, independence, leadership, and initiative will be our ticket to the beautiful opportunities, abundance, and growth that Jupiter wants to shower upon us.

winter solstice

December 21, 2022, will mark the holy day of the Winter Solstice for the Northern Hemisphere (and the Summer Solstice for the Southern Hemisphere). The word “solstice” is derived from Latin words civil (sun) and sister (standing still). It is on this day that the Earth’s axis reaches its maximum tilt from the Sun, giving rise to the shortest and darkest day of the year.

Ancient mystics and astrologers have spoken of the time around the winter solstice as a season of initiation, transcending the boundaries of consciousness, opportunities to connect with the inner soul, and opening new paths to self-realization.

Capricorn season begins

It is on the darkest day of the year that the Sun moves into the earthly and practical sign of the earth, marking the beginning of its season. When this happens, we are offered an opportunity to be our own light, to be our own warmth, and to believe – and say yes – to ourselves and our inner calling above all.

Capricorn is the symbol of the sea goat, which represents a bridge between spirit and matter. It is the half-fish that can dip as far down into our inner oceans of psychic energy as its twin, half-goat, can scale the heights of outward achievement.

Any zodiac season that begins as the Earth moves into a new phase represents a new beginning. It is a new chapter in our lives with central themes of accountability, success, and realizing our goals, dreams, and aspirations. It is a season that reminds us that self-responsibility is a prerequisite for achieving our dreams.

New Moon in Capricorn

December 23, 2022, will bring our last New Moon of 2022. With the Moon joining the Sun in Capricorn, our desires (Sun) and needs (Moon) are coming together, ushering in a new chapter in our lives.

As the name suggests, a new moon is the beginning of a new lunar cycle. As the Earth begins a new cycle and the Sun begins a new season just two days after meeting us, this New Moon is filled with many sparks and layers of primal energy.

Regardless of your sun sign, each of the twelve zodiac signs is within each of us. And as Brahma immerses himself and takes on the lens of this earthy and expensive sign, the Capricorn spark that resides within all of us is also activated.

We find parts of ourselves that are naturally responsible, parts of ourselves that know we are a match for the dreams that sit in our hearts, no matter how big they feel. We find ourselves and embody that which is determined, ambitious and patient. And we depend on ourselves as we navigate, plan, and organize this new beginning.

This new moon serves as a gateway into our next venture, sitting at the transition point of a new year, a new energy, and a new chapter in our lives. This is a good opportunity to sit down with any intentions, goals, or dreams you may have for the year ahead and let your inner Capricorn do the work.

your invitation

Carl Jung coined the term “synchronicity”, a concept that explores the mutual relationship between the individual and the universe. It derives from the archetype and is described when the inner world of the self and the outer world of external reality merge. This is when synchronization occurs. A book that comes into your life after declaring your interest in a new subject. A friend is calling you when they enter your mind. Numbers or signs that speak the deepest meaning of your heart appear exactly when you need them. Multiple astrological transits—each a cosmic invitation to the same direction of courage, in saying yes to yourself, in new beginnings, and in devotion to your path forward—are happening as we enter the New Year. We are together.

Astrology is one of the many ways in which we are lucky enough to decode the language of this inexplicable force of existence. As we look at the astrology of the week, it can only be likened to each of us cheering loudly.

Synchronicity can be a reminder that we are part of something bigger. A divine orchestration of movement and flow. A force of growth and evolution with which we are one. As Brahma invites you to take a chance on yourself this week, it will remind you that you are part of something bigger, that you are supported, and that you are loved.

As Jupiter moves into Aries, allow yourself to get excited about your life again. This is fire and fire coming together – pure inspiration, a thirst to be, and a desire to be fully alive.

And as the Sun and Moon move into Capricorn, bringing with it the Winter Solstice, allow yourself to feel this excitement in your body and in actual planning. No dream is too big, and no mountain too big. Capricorn is the sea goat literally built to climb the highest mountain peaks, and Aries is the unyielding self-belief that will take you to the top.
