Visakhapatnam: A man attacked his neighbor and reportedly cut a part of the neighbor’s lower lip and faced a minor problem at their house in Lalithanagar of Yendada under the police limits of Arilova in Vizag city.
Although the incident took place on the night of December 15, it came to light on Saturday after the family of the victim Pothala Srinivasa Rao (50) and the residents of the house approached the police. seeking strict action against the accused, M. Bhagavan Choudari, who has been harassing and attacking residents of the office for the past few months.
According to reports, the victim, Srinivasa Rao, lived in one of the flats in the Genesis building and the accused, Bhagavan Choudari, was also a resident of the same house. When Srinivasa Rao was about to enter his palace on Thursday night, Bhagavan Choudari attacked him with a stick and an iron rod, after which Rao’s lower lip was bitten. The accused harassed and injured Rao’s relatives and insulted the women in the office.
The injured Srinivasa Rao was shifted to a private hospital in the city.
The residents of the apartment, in the police complaint, earlier said that Bhagavan Choudari had abused many women in the apartment and tried to attack some people in the past. They asked the police to deal with him immediately for their safety.
Sub-inspector of Arilova police station, Gudesetti Appa Rao, said that they have registered a case against Bhagavan Choudari under sections 324, 325, and 509 of IPC and investigation is underway to arrest the accused.
