The Odisha government says it has received more than 145 investment proposals so far Rp7.26 lakh crore in the current edition of business summit. Naveen Patnaik’s government signed 21 MoUs with companies on the second day of the 2022 ‘Make In Odisha’ Conclave on Thursday.

1) The JSW Group itself made an investment of Rp1 lakh crore in the state.

2) “Today, we made a commitment to invest again Rp1 lakh crore in the state across various sectors,” said JSW Group Chairman Sajjan Jindal on Thursday while addressing the conclave.

3) Adani Ports and SEZ Ltd Chief Executive Officer Karan Adani said the company has invested Rp7,600 crore in Odisha and the planned capital investment will be exceeded Rp60,000 crore over the next ten years.

4) “Our investment in the state is steadily increasing and in the last five years, the Adani Group has invested Rp7,600 crore because we have developed our LNG terminal, Dhamra port and our mining activities,” he said.

5) Vedanta Ltd Chairman Anil Agarwal says his company is the biggest investor in Odisha by pumping in Rp80,000 crore and getting ready to invest again Rp25,000 crore in the proposed aluminum park at Jharsuguda.

6) Addressing the plenary session of the conclave, ArcelorMittal Chief Executive Lakshmi Niwas Mittal said, “In the JV (joint venture) with Nippon Steel, we are setting up a 24 million ton plant in Odisha.”

7) CEO of Tata Steel Ltd and MD TV Narendran said the company has established a greenfield steel plant in Kalinga Nagar and acquired the Bhusan Steel Plant in Meramundali and NINL. “The company has become the top steel producer in Odisha. We already have eight million tonnes production capacity in the state and in this fiscal we plan to double that capacity,” he said.

8) Director of Essar Capital Prashant Ruia outlines the investment plan of the company to prepare several projects worth Rp52,000 crores.

9) The third edition of the business summit was attended by representatives from various corporate houses like LN Mittal, Anil Agarwal, Sajjan Jindal, TV Narendran, Naveen Jindal, Karan Adani, Praveer Sinha and delegates from 11 countries.

10) Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik has assured investors of all the support to get their project ready.
