Vishakapatnam: The state BJP will organize a road show to welcome Prime Minister Narendra Modi on November 11, President Somu Veerraju said.

Addressing a press conference in Visakhapatnam on Monday, Veerraju said the party leaders have recommended two routes – one from Old ITI (NAD) to Ammavari Temple and the other on RK Beach Road.

“We have given suggestions to the party’s top leadership in New Delhi and the leaders will decide on the best way for the road show,” said Veerraju.

The BJP chief said on November 12, before starting any new projects here, the chief minister may hold discussions with senior BJP leaders. Modi’s visit will be used by the party to tell people that all the new development work in Visakhapatnam has been done on the behest of the central government, he said.

“The state government, under the control of YSRC, has not taken any development except supporting the mafias who have taken rackets in the sand industry and land grabbing,” he said.

“It is better to do nothing. There is no work calendar, there is no communication of mega DSC and there is no filling in the posts of the police department. The prime minister has diverted the SC sub-plan funds,” said the head of the BJP.

The BJP, on its part, is organizing the party’s ‘Sampark Abhiyan in Dalit Hamlets’ program in all districts for the benefit of SCs. The one we held in Kadapa the next day was defended by members of the YSRC,” he said.

Asked if the BJP is inviting Jana Sena leader Pawan Kalyan for the public meeting, Veerraju said the party has invited all political parties for their participation in the PM meeting.

Asked about the special status (SCS) and privatization of the steel plant, Veerraju said that chief minister Chandrababu Naidu had collected `7,500 crore as a special package for AP instead. of special status. “SCS and the problem of setting up steel plants is part of history,” said Rajya Sabha member GVL Narasimha Rao.
