Visakhapatnam: Minister for Industries and IT Gudivada Amarnath said that only the opposition leader Nara Chandrababu Naidu is responsible if there are any untoward incidents during Amaravati farmers in North Andhra.
Addressing a press conference in Visakhapatnam on Tuesday, Amarnath said that with the permission given by the AP High Court, Naidu should not go out and provoke people in the name of padayatra.
He said the state intelligence had information that the villagers might rebel against the payatra participants.
“The people of North Andhra will not remain silent if the farmers of Amaravati give prayers to harm the interests of the North Andhra region, the local people will rebel against them,” he said.
He said that their association would ensure the development of the state and Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy was right in thinking of creating three capitals for the equal development of all areas.
Accusing the BJP of supporting the padayatra, Amarnath said the BJP in its Rayalaseema campaign on February 23, 2018, asked Kurnool to get the state’s High Court.
