Indian star Mirabai Chanu is recognized for her impressive performance in the 2021 Asian Championships.

Weightlifting was first competed in the 1896 Olympics and has been a regular Olympic event since the 1920s. Only ten weight categories will be contested in the mixed men’s and women’s categories (five each) in Paris 2024. Below is the list of the World Record and the National Record in the categories different weights of Women’s Weightlifting. Non-Olympic weight records are added since they compete in the World Championships and Continental Games.

The IWF defines “world standards” as the minimum weights required to qualify for world records in new weight classes. Wherever the World Standard appears on the list, no weightlifter has lifted these weights in an IWF-sanctioned competition.
