The Health Affairs Journal’s December 2022 meeting focuses on “Understanding Tax Credit Acceptance by Low-Income Californians.”
The center of Health issues The December meeting of the Journal Club is “Understanding Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC) Adoption Among Low-Income Californians.” Using data from the “Assessing California Communities’ Experiences with Safety Net Supports” (ACCESS) study – which included interviews with 411 EITC-eligible Californians with young children – the authors describe the reasons for their lower participation in the program and make recommendations to counter these shortcomings. .
On December 15th, please join the co-authors Lia Fernandothe Brian and Jennifer Maxwell Endowed Chair in Public Health and Professor of Public Health Sciences at the University of California, Berkeley, for detailed discussion of the data, the methods and conclusions of the policy.
