Jamshedpur, 18 Dec: Poorva Sainik Seva Parishad, Jamshedpur defeats the Shaurya Parakram Yatra honoring the martyrs of the 1971 Indo-Pak war on December 18.

The Yatra was marked by Lieutenant Colonel Amit Bhardwaj of Sonari Army Camp in the presence of social workers Shekhar Dey, Varun Kumar, Shivnath Sah, Keshav Prasad Singh, B Ishwar Rao, Vijay Narayan Singh, Murli Manohar Prasad, Shivji Singh and Manik Warda.

In his remarks, Colonel Amit Bhardwaj said that Poorva Sainik Seva Parishad is a living example of patriotism and awareness of soldiers who continue to build society by instilling a spirit of patriotism among citizens.

The Parakram Yatra starts from the Golmuri Shaheed Sthal and crosses the RD Tata Technical Institute, Sakchi roundabout before culminating at the Bajrangbali Temple in Bhalubasa.

Former army personnel, youth and citizens celebrate the 1971 victory and pay tribute to the martyrs.

Former army personnel riding tricolor bicycles chanted the slogan ‘Bharat Mata Ki Jai’ along the route. Havildar Vijay Narayan Singh, Naib Subedar B Ishwar Rao, Havildar Shiv Narayan Sah, Ram Bhajan Ram, who were part of the 1971 war were honored by the guests.
