A delegation under the auspices of the Information Technology Association of Andhra Pradesh (ITAAP) met the Union Minister of Electronics and IT Ashwini Vaishnaw at his Parliament office on Tuesday.

The delegation was led by BJP Rajya Sabha member GVL Narasimha Rao.

The delegation sought the support of the Union Minister in speedy creation of a new STPI incubation center in Visakhapatnam, developing an Emerging Tech Skilling Ecosystem in the state by establishing a CDAC center in Visakhapatnam, where center of NIELIT, a National Forensic Sciences. University (NFSU) and a national level Center of Excellence (CoE) in Cyber ​​​​Security.

The delegation also sought the support of the Minister in promoting a startup ecosystem and culture in Tier II cities, including Visakhapatnam, in general, and for this purpose to launch a promotional program for the product development and business start-ups, something like India BPO Promotion Scheme (IBPS).

ITAAP President Sreedhar Kosaraju has extended an invitation to the Union Minister to attend the IT summit (InfinityVizag) – 2023 to be held in Visakhapatnam.

Mr. Narasimha Rao, the Union Minister responded positively to all the suggestions.
