INS Vikrant is 262 meters long and 62 meters wide and is the size of two football fields.

Officials, who did not want to be named, told IANS that the Indian Ministry of Defense has informed the defense committee that L&T’s Kattuapalli port has been selected to dock the giant aircraft, which was made in the Cochin Shipyard and dedicated to the nation by the Prime Minister of the country.

INS Vikrant is the country’s second aircraft carrier after INS Vikramaditya which is based in the western front.

Marine experts said IANS The Kattupalli port is the deepest and longest of its ships to dock INS Vikrant and the Naval warship will continue to be deployed in this port for years to come. New facilities are being built in Kattupalli to accommodate the giant warship.
