DAVOS / VIJAYAWADA: Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy on Wednesday spoke to founders and CEOs of unicorn startups and assured them that the state government will make Vishakapatnam a unicorn startup hub.
To encourage more startups to set up their offices in AP, the prime minister held discussions with their top brass at the World Economic Forum Summit in Davos, officials said.
The CM consulted with the producers and startup founders about the decisions to be taken regarding the policy and assured them that all efforts will be made to develop the startups and provide them with the all necessary resources.
During the interaction, Jagan said that the government will take steps to make Visakhapatnam a hub for unicorn startups.
The CM said, “The AP government has decided to promote Visakhapatnam start-up activities and extend an invitation to all. Vizag will be the starting point of Andhra.
BYJU’s Vice President Public Policy Susmit Sarkar said the department will extend full support to the education sector in Andhra Pradesh. They will establish a Research and Development Center and provide BYJU’s curriculum to state students.
Coin Switch Kuber Founder and Group CEO Ashish Singhal discussed with the CM how to provide scientific technology to record records of land survey in Andhra Pradesh and provide practical assistance.
Jagan interacted with the founder of ‘EaseMyTrip’ Prashant Pitti in the tourism industry in the state. Pitti said that they will give priority to tourist destinations in Andhra Pradesh.
Meesho Founder, CEO Vidith Atreya, Byju’s vice president on public policy Sushmit Sarkar, Coinswitch Kuber founder and CEO Ashish Singhal, EaseMyTrip founder Prashant Pitti, VH. AI founder Satish Jaya Kumar and Coursera Vice President Kevin Mills were among those who met the Prime Minister.
